Fish Report | Newport Beach | California | USA ..... 10/26/15

Hi Everyone (LIA @ NEWPORT LANDING)

Tuna, dorado, yellowtail and occasional wahoo are being caught on overnight trips and extended limited load ¾ day trips. The Patriot fishing last Weds had 17 dorado, 9 yellowfin tuna, 18 yellowtail, and 1 skipjack tuna. Tuna fishing has been a little up and down the last couple of days for the Patriot but the water is still 73 degrees and schools of tuna are moving around along with dorado and yellowtail.

The Cortez Bank has been very good on yellowfin tuna, yellowtail, some Bluefin tuna, and misc other fish. Tuna are nice sized with fish to 60 pounds plus and boats are getting 100+ tuna when fishing the Bank the last several days.

Hi Everyone (Lia @ Newport Landing)
Tuna fishing is wide open with all of our extended ¾ day limited load trips today (Weds Sept 9) over 100 mixed yellowfin tuna and skipjack tuna and still fishing. Talked to Captain Mike of Western Pride and they have at least 60 yellowfin tuna and more than 40 skipjack tuna and still fishing and he said the Patriot and Nautilus are also over the 100 mark for tuna. Just got update Nautilus with 150+ skipjack tuna and 40+ yellowfin tuna still fishing. Sorry I can't get more details and sounds like crazy bite going on.

RV Nation...... Rent a RV as a production room for photographers and content generators...

Content generators need to be able to shoot images at remote outdoor locations. There is a need to have a clean comfortable room to review images and edit content.

Weather it is a remote desert location or in downtown Hollywood mobile production facilities are a must.  Most large RVs have large diesel electrical generators that power not only the RV but the equipment inside.

according to wikipedia .....
Television production trucks were developed to take television studios on the road so video productions could be made at distant locations for a remote broadcastoutside broadcasting (OB), electronic field production (EFP) with multiple-camera setup and a support of a number of different technologies to bring everything together. Each production varies, some require a crew of about 12-16 to make sure the production goes smoothly. There are usually one or two other trucks following the main production truck with some of the equipment not able to fit in the main truck, as well as an uplink truck required to transmit the video across the world. There are companies that contain both the functions of a satellite truck and production truck in a single truck body to save space, time and are considerably low cost.
Other television production trucks are smaller in size and generally require two or three people in the field to manage. For instance broadcast journalism news reporters providing live televisionlocal news in the field electronic news gathering (ENG) outside a formal television studio. In some cases, it can be a station wagon, people carrier or even a motorbike (especially in cities with congested streets or where a rapid response is needed and a motorbike is more maneuverable).

RV Nation ..... Trip from Huntington Beach to Santa Barbara

Since this RV is based in Huntington Beach, California, USA I always like to start a road trip by a quick dip into the Pacific Ocean.

Refreshed at sea level spending a few moments thinking about which route, what time to depart and a mental checklist of supplies needed is how I start a "road trip".

It is about a 3 hour drive if you go Hwy 101 thru downtown Los Angeles and traffic is not a factor. Getting through L.A. is the biggest challenge.

Once you pass through millions of people the coast is near and the lovely beach towns of
Ventura and Oxnard are nice stops.

Oxnard Beach Park.

Ventura Beach

Emma Wood State Beach, Ventura

Continue up the famous Hwy 101 along the coast with beach and coastal mountains as a sideshow.

My favorite places in Santa Barbara are:

Santa Barbara Zoo

Homes in Montecito

Santa Barbara main beach

Santa Barbara Mission

State Street Bars and Restaurants.

University of California Santa Barbara

El Capitan State Beach.

Soooo, for a lovely 3-4 day RV Trip I recommend a trip to Santa Barbara and its surrounding countryside.

RV Nation .... Visit your local casinos in your RV rental. Winner!

I keep my RV stored in Huntington Beach. It is a short trip to the beach and whenever
I go RVing I like to jump into the Pacific Ocean, splash around then head out of town.

Most casinos have free RV parking and many have "hookups" for a fee.
My RV is self contained and I like "Free" so I usually go for free RV Parking area. I always enter the casino that I'm parked in just to keep karma good.

The joy of having your own stuff and never worry about hotel reservations is cool.

Here are some links to local Southern California Casinos

Aqua Caliente

Barona
Fantasy Springs

Lake Havasu

Morongo

San Manuel Indian Bingo

Pechanga

Harrah's Rincon

Hi Everyone (Lia @ Newport Landing)
Big Bluefin tuna and large yellowtail on the overnight trips are testing tackle with breaking rods and reels getting spooled. The Bluefin tuna have been from 40 pounds to over 60 pounds and anglers have been in extended battles leading to pretty high loss rate. Along with big Bluefin tuna large yellowtail have been mixed in (18-35+ lbs) with many fish also lost in prolonged battles.

The Thunderbird fishing today had 42 bluefin tuna and 27 yellowtail on overnight trip. Tuna were from 40 lbs up to 60 lbs. The yellowtail from 18 to over 35 pounds.
